Expecting A Baby? Have Young Children?

Now’s the time to review ALL your insurance coverage:

*Be sure to review your maternity benefits with your health insurance provider. Even if prenatal care is not covered, you may have coverage if complications or illness arise.
*Once your baby arrives, add him/her to your health insurance policy within the timeframe allowed. (Usually within 30 days of babies birth)
*Review your life insurance coverage with your agent. Do you have enough coverage? Can your spouse or child maintain their current standard of living with your current coverage amount?
*If you decide to buy life insurance for your infant or child, term coverage is generally the best choice. Discuss options with your agent.
*Consider adding or increasing disability coverage to replace up to 60-70% of your income. (And/or your spouses income)
*If you rent, get renter's coverage; if you own your home, review your policy to ensure you have adequate coverage.
